Jacket Pattern Swaps

I’ve been adding steadily to the patterns available on Sewing Pattern Swap and there is now a good variety of Coats and Jackets.

Here are some of my favourites:

Kwik Sew 3459 Simple short / cropped jacket with or without hood

This could be pretty cute I reckon.  Recommeded fabric is fleece and I see that on Sewing Pattern Review a few people seem to have made sweet little bed jackets.  I particularly liked what JillyBeJoyful did with hers.

I’m a bit scared of this jacket as it looks really hard and it’s difficult to picture what it might look like on a human.

ZombieAmelia and Annette on SPR really helped with this though.  I love Annette’s expression in the photo, she’s awesome.

Butterick B5297 Loose-fitting, unlined, jacket or coat with shawl collar, dolman sleeves, shoulder pads, and patch or side seam pockets. Edges may be finished with fold-over trim, belt may be added.

Loose-fitting, unlined, jacket or coat with shawl collar, dolman sleeves, shoulder pads, and patch or side seam pockets. Edges may be finished with fold-over trim, belt may be added.

Judging from the reviews again on SPR this seems to be a quick and straightforward make.  Most people seem to advise lining though.

All three of these patterns as well as another 7 coats/jackets are available for swapping.

Or should I keep them?

Ha, NO!  That’s what got me into this pattern hoarding mess in the first place!
